No. I am not a pro-blogger. I do not make a living purely from my blogs. I have been blessed with enough readership to be considered somewhat influential, but I still blog about food and restaurants because of my mad love for eating and food. Therefore as much as I can, I watch what I eat. No I don’t count calories. My pants and belt would attest to that. I watch what I eat in terms of its yummy-ness! If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout this journey to food nirvana, is that make every bite worth it. Don’t get me wrong, not everything expensive is good, and vice-versa. I still love my Chickenjoy. I still love my occasional isaw. You would actually catch me ordering the occasional ice scramble should a vendor be passing by.
Being saddled with a desk job, lunch everyday is a constant test to one’s tastebuds and wallets. Trying to find the best place to eat for the best price is sometimes an oxymoron that one cannot just achieve. But the other day, a group called ALMOST GOURMET, sent over food. PREPARED FOOD!

I’m a sucker for anything authentic. Authentic Pasta? I’m there. So imagine my delight when I finally discovered Amoroma at Tagaytay. Tagaytay is a brief 1 hour 30 mins drive from Manila and you have the cool crisp weather which is a cool respite from the hot & sticky weather that Manila has to offer.
I first tried this place with The Club on the way to Punta Fuego and have been back the succeeding weekends because I could never get enough of the place. I soak in the ambiance, the choices of handmade pasta, the music, and the weather, everything just ties in. This is one place I wouldn’t mind dining Al Fresco.

If I wasn’t doing what I am doing now I’d probably be a chef. Food and cooking are passions of mine which falls neatly into photography. That is why when Enderun held an open house which included a lunch at Restaurant 101 I definitely didn’t want to pass this one up.

I received an email the other week from a friend asking me try out Family Fried Chicken. I told her that I would love to, but it was just out of the way. (I work at the Fort and I go home to San Juan while Family Fried Chicken’s store is at Banawe.) She told me that it wasn’t a problem because they actually deliver all the way to my place! With this good news I immediately called home and told them not to prepare anything for tonight since I had some food coming. Family was excited, mood was set, and another great eating experience was to be this time shared with my family.

When we talk about vietnamese food in Manila we usually think about Pho Hoa. But Aquaknox has come to change everything. Serving affordable, quality, not to mention yummy viet food, Aquaknox has started making waves among foodies in manila with their chic interior design and quality food and wider range of food choices to really give us a taste of Vietnam. I can’t wait to plan my visit to Vietnam soon!

Milk Tea has recently been trending food-wise as of late with milieu of Milk Tea shops sprouting up all over the Metro. From the likes of Serenitea and Bubble Tea, and Happy Lemon, another new player has put up shop and being a loyal Serenitea customer I vowed that Serenitea was still better.
That was up until I tried it.
Chatime offers pretty much your standard Milk Teas with its own little twist here and there. But what I really like about the place are the intangibles. Everything in between and the little things are what put you up and beyond the other stores in the market.

With the summer heat starting to make itself felt something cold is definitely a must already for every meal. Gone are the days where an afternoon snack I would crave for some soup and replaced with something cold.
But since it is already a time for summer and beaches, watching one’s weight is definitely a must this season. (Not to say that I am…)
Lucky that just down the road, a yogurt shop just opened! AND they have WiFi!

It is quite refreshing to find foodie places still hidden within the metro. With its roots grounded in good ol’ home cooking, Felicity is such a place. Run by Jasper and Carol de Leon, they said that there are no better food critiques than their own children. A restaurant run family-style, catering to families, and serves good family food, how could you go wrong?

I get late night cravings. Yes yes, I am a recovering food-a-holic and although I try to stay on the wagon as much as I can, I tend to fall off it more times than I am on it! (I don’t know how that is possible!) As such I have my little places for quenching my hunger (literally and figuratively) when I start jonesing for food! SuZhou was one of my places.
Located in one of the nooks of Little Baguio, SuZhou was a favorite of mine. I haven’t been to SuZhou and finally decided to blog about the place this time around.

How could I say no? Chef’s Table was literally walking distance from my office. In fact I’ve jogged past it everyday since it opened and I’ve been tempted to enter if not for my on-going diet. Located at the Infinity building which was barely finished I was quite intrigued for tonight’s cuisine.
I decided not to research on this one for fear of bias, and I decided to approach this as if I just walked in. The rest of the gang arrived on time which made for ordering a breeze this time around.
