With the summer heat starting to make itself felt something cold is definitely a must already for every meal. Gone are the days where an afternoon snack I would crave for some soup and replaced with something cold.
But since it is already a time for summer and beaches, watching one’s weight is definitely a must this season. (Not to say that I am…)
Lucky that just down the road, a yogurt shop just opened! AND they have WiFi!

It is quite refreshing to find foodie places still hidden within the metro. With its roots grounded in good ol’ home cooking, Felicity is such a place. Run by Jasper and Carol de Leon, they said that there are no better food critiques than their own children. A restaurant run family-style, catering to families, and serves good family food, how could you go wrong?

I get late night cravings. Yes yes, I am a recovering food-a-holic and although I try to stay on the wagon as much as I can, I tend to fall off it more times than I am on it! (I don’t know how that is possible!) As such I have my little places for quenching my hunger (literally and figuratively) when I start jonesing for food! SuZhou was one of my places.
Located in one of the nooks of Little Baguio, SuZhou was a favorite of mine. I haven’t been to SuZhou and finally decided to blog about the place this time around.

How could I say no? Chef’s Table was literally walking distance from my office. In fact I’ve jogged past it everyday since it opened and I’ve been tempted to enter if not for my on-going diet. Located at the Infinity building which was barely finished I was quite intrigued for tonight’s cuisine.
I decided not to research on this one for fear of bias, and I decided to approach this as if I just walked in. The rest of the gang arrived on time which made for ordering a breeze this time around.

I recently celebrated my 25th birthday and I thought why not celebrate it with something different this year. I was watching Dinner:Impossible at that time and enter this crazy thought of camping out in one of the hidden coves of Zambales for the weekend.
I rallied the troops, and we were off for an adventure to “rough it out” for a few days. Tents, grills, firewood, and other camping gear, by 11pm we were off and ready to the great unknown. Although we were roughing it out, being a foodie and all, in no way was I roughing out the food. A few days before, I went to the market and bought us our supplies. I prepared the menu, while the others prepared for the adventure.

I’ve already previously mentioned that N.Garcia is slowly turning into the next foodie street, and lo-and-behold another hidden gem is found at the back of The Wine Depot. The store is called Purple Feet. The thing with Purple Feet is, it incorporates Freestyle cooking. Freestyle cooking was a new concept dealing with freshest ingredients or what is available. Rare is it that they have the same thing on the menu for several days. Since it was my birthday, Jane decided to go on and try something different! Yes, Between Bites was my date for my Birthday Dinner.

I’ve always enjoyed dining out, even more recently, as the club gets bigger and bigger. (Both figuratively and literally!) Coco Asia was another place that for the first time since its inception, the club got together complete. At the heart of where everyone lives, is something truly different. One may overlook its casual facade as it sits amongst fastfood favorites but it should definitely be a must try for everyone in the area.

Chinatown in Banawe has been there since forever. Since my grandmother lives around the area, this is always a staple for us if we have large family gatherings. Since Chinatown revamped its decor and updated its menu, the owners invited my group and I to sample some of their best dishes. It was a night I wouldn’t forget anytime soon.

Just behind our office, literally in our backyard lies a quaint little resto among a row of bars and other night spots. I’ve seen Foccia for the nth time, and decided this was the day to try it out. I’ve bought gelato and have eaten at the burger joint right in front of it. (Saved for another day another feature.) This unassuming modernly designed restaurant presented classic italian dishes along with roll-over pizza.

I’ve been working at Bonifacio High Street for almost 3 years now and Krispy Kreme has been always been a merienda place for my co-workers and I and I’ve realized that I’ve never even blogged about it! So here goes my feature on Krispy Kreme!
I first heard about Krispy Kreme in numerous mentions in Hollywood movies as the Doughnut (or Donut) place of choice and when I heard someone was bringing it to the Philippines, the foodie in me jumped for joy. I heard it costs almost Php 70M to become a franchisee of the famous Donut chain.
