Foodie Manila is a personal blog where The ChubbyChef aka. ME! documents and explores the world of food in his search for foodie nirvana.
I have always believed that one gets to know the culture as well as the personality of a place or person based on the food they eat. I am a strong believer of quote “You are what you eat!” I am in no way an expert at food nor do I claim to be. All that this blog aims to do is share places where I’ve eaten and my view or opinions on places. Country Manager by day, renegade Foodie by Night, I seek out those places that will make us go squee~
Blogging is definitely an outlet for me. I love my passion for food photography. Sharing with my readers, even if through pictures, the artworks and masterpieces of modern day artists/chefs/cooks come up with. The gastronomic delight we share and love may somehow transcend the photo and into our consciousness.

I apologize if I was just not able to locate this on your website (if you already have this)… I think your blog would have been cooler if you can provide a map of areas where all these restos are located. Would’ve helped a lot of non-locals like me. I am visiting Manila next month and I’ve been looking for a good place for dinner dates. I’m staying near Shangri La plaza in Mandaluyong (Lancaster Hotel), any suggestions for a good place? It needs to be accessible by public transpo (taxi).
Much appreciated.

I am on a business visit in Makati for 4 weeks. My doctor has put me on some strict food regime which requires me to consume natural soya yoghurt, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, non of which I have been able to find so far. Can you advise where in Makati or larger Manila I can buy these, please.
Thanks / regards
Dan
I was wondering upon entering the restaurants you are about to review do you introduce yourself as a food blogger. And as far as photographing your meals are concerned do you ask permission from servers or any restaurant staff to allow you to take photos cause as far as proper etiquette is concerned i think it is quite rude/disrespectful for the costumer to be shooting the food of a specific restaurant as this is their creation like taking a picture of a designer bag inside the designer’s store. I am in no way stating that you do do this randomly haha… i’m just curious of how it works whether you do ask permission first or not
hope you reply to my question! thanks!
Many Thanks!
