Following this latest trend in gourmet dining coupled with healthy eating, a new niche has opened up in the Filipino dining scene. Fro yo is now here. In what was a non-existent Frozen Yogurt market a few years back, has given way to a burgeoning market craze booming out new stalls here and there.
Already reviewed was California Berry a few months back. Now its Red Mango.

Offering up a choice of fruit or candy with your yogurt, they also offer the alternative of a Green Tea flavored yogurt. (It lessens the sourness of the yogurt.)
I ordered a small yogurt with 3 toppings (about P150) I picked crushed grahams, Kiwi and Mango.

GF didn’t want to have any so we decided to share.
Enjoying our midday treat!
Go on head on out a healthy cool treat. Branches that I know of are at Eastwood and Megamall.

Coffee shops have sprung all over the Metro here and there with a variety of choices from the typical coffee to the more complicated espresso americano and other blended coffees or whatever. I was waiting for GF at Seattle’s Best and due to not eating breakfast I decided to have a quick breakfast at Seattle’s best. I had my regular Mango Juice and on the menu I decided to have a pandesal with corned beef.
Quick Breakfast
The overpriced pandesal was tossed quickly into the microwave and served warm. The juice was typical mango juice.
But let’s focus on the pandesal.
I was absolutely disappointed with it. For P60 I would have expected the pandesal to be filled with corned beef. But it only had a spoonful and a lot of hot air.
Pandesal with Corned Beef
See?? Almost empty!
Anyway, unless you totally are super hungry like I was and need a quick fix, this would definitely solve your problems. But maybe this is just me.
Ever had a disappointing meal? Share!

There are just those days where experimenting with different restos are just not tolerable. Today’s Saturdate was just one of those days. Going for comfort food rather than experimentation was our choice. (Sorry Don, just have to wait for the Mexican Resto next time!) Off to greenhills we went to dine at our favorite chinese spot: Le Ching.
On the menu was a few select dimsum choices and the timeless spareribs rice.
For dimsum we went this Shark’s Fin Dumpling, Hakaw (Shrimp Dumplings), and Seafood King Roll

As for the main course, we had Spareribs

We still wanted to try to be at least experimental and ordered the chicken with mushrooms dimsum.
Chicken With Mushroom Dumpling
Of course what made the meal truly Le Ching was the chili sauce. This little saucer of chili goodness was what makes Le Ching, Le Ching!
Chili Sauce
We drank Soy Milk, had some dimsum and ate some spare ribs rice. It was reminiscent of child hood days where this was one of the first chinese restos around San Juan or Greenhills. No north park, Man Hann, or Gloria Maris. I love this resto. It’s been there for so long. The taste hasn’t changed. Don’t you have a favorite place to dine? A place where you’re family has always gone but never had given it any thought?
